Cap reflects

- How the public feels?
- Patriotism - Are his values old fashioned?
- Writer's beliefs
- Dies he successfully adapt to a changing America? - or doomed to remain an irrelevant symbol for old fashioned virtues?

To do over half term

  • Hope that Politics guy gets back to me
  • See what useful books are available from the library
  • Go to library and get books
  • Make some notes from them
  • Find websites and articles on modern day America
  • Read these websites and articles and either highlight or make notes
  • Start to plan for writing 1,000 words and reach a judgement on what the new one should be
  • Start to sketch out ideas

Specifically look at...
  • How politics is handled by the comic book
  • How explicit are the references?
  • Does it reflect general public opinion?
Remember
Always record what you read!!

New plan!

Use my 1,000 words to...

look at the comics from 1940s (First World War) and then 1970s (Watergate scandal) look at how the politics is handled and how the general feel of the public is reflected

As my artefact

Create a comic book responding to current day American politics

To do

- Research patriotism in modern day America
- Research how Cap reflects views looking at comics and History sources
- Go to library and find books on WW1 and Watergate
- Get on with it and stress less!
- Make note of deadlines
- Produce a reading record sheet
